7th grade was the first time I ever spoke in front of a large audience on a stage. I shared my testimony with the Lord moving my Family to Colorado. After that something sparked inside me about speaking. Over the years I have done some speaking here and there. In 8th grade I gave a devotional to my class. My freshman year I did a Ted Talk with the question, “Does God Exist?” Sophomore year, I was a part of a club called DECA where you must give a pitch about a marketing campaign for 10 minutes. Junior Year I gave a 10-minute devotional to the Middle schoolers at church. Senior year, I got to speak at my graduation, we also had our end of the year presentation which I did about speaking. My teacher said I reminded her of Sadie Robertson, which funny enough is who I have looked up to as a speaker since I was young. I get scared before presenting, but then I am told it is a gift. I had a presentation in my BUSI 105 class and 3 people came up to tell me I did a great job and ask how I prepared for that. Every time I speak, it is like God reminds me that He wants to use my voice. Now, I don’t have stages that I am speaking at, however every time I feel the Lord put something on my heart, I turn on my camera and start speaking about it. Social Media has become my stage to speak. I do not know what God’s plans are, but my dream would be to travel the country or the world as a speaking evangelist like Sadie Robertson. I love the share the Gospel and if that was my job, that would be beyond incredible. When I was in 8th grade, I had a leader at my church prophesy over me and say that when he saw me, he was given the phrase, “Ambassador for Christ.” As I have gotten older, that word has become clearer, and I know that I will speaking the name of Jesus on some sort of platform. My dad just left His job and is transitioning to starting his own business and ministry and I believe that I am meant to be an ambassador for that as well. The idea would be to take something such as insurance and give the profits to ministry’s around the world. The customer would do nothing different in this process and would not have to pay any extra money. The only difference is that they are making a difference. Who would not want the opportunity to help build wells and fund ministries without changing anything in their day to life. My job would be to go to these places being positively impacted for the kingdom of God and document what is going on for the world to see. I want to be a world changer. I believe God wants to use my voice to do that. I am simply a willing vessel that will go wherever the Lord sends me. One of my favorite songs is “So Will I” and one of the verses says, “If the wind goes where you send it, so will I.” I love that lyric so much and strive to live that out in my life, no matter how scary something may seem, like traveling across the globe or speaking on a stage in front of who knows how many people. God calls us out of our comfort zones, because that is where we grow, and it allows us to fully depend on the Lord. There you have it. That is my dream. To speak the name of Jesus wherever I go.
